Applying to Trū

We have a limited number of spaces to accept new students. In evaluating applicants, we consider a child’s readiness for a project-based program as well as a family’s demonstrated commitment to the exciting work of transformative learning.

The online application consists of the following steps:

1. Register for an Open House or The Trū Experience if you have not already
2. Fill out the Personal Information Form
3. Submit preliminary application and pay the $95 application fee (due January 15) by clicking on the button below
4. Apply for adjusted Community Based Tuition if needed (due February 1)

Once the Application is received our office will contact you to:

1.  Schedule a home observation with our Education Director
2. Schedule a child school visit and parent interview (online or in person)
3. Send the Teacher Evaluation form link to your child’s current teacher
4. Upload school reports from the current year (if applicable)
5. Upload any special educational or developmental assessments (if applicable)

January 15, 2027 — preliminary application due

February 1, 2027 — application materials due
February 1, 2027 — tuition assistance applications due
February 15, 2027 — tuition assistance documents due
March 11, 2027 — email notifications sent
March 18, 2027 — enrollment contracts due
