Besides teaching in a variety of progressive elementary schools over the last few decades, Theodore lived in a yoga community for 8 years. He worked in a guest retreat kitchen, a publishing company, and a web design and branding firm. He ran a tutoring business for students of all ages, and he attended interfaith conferences to learn about inclusive dialogue.

 

Interests

Theodore loves playing Chopin on the piano, identifying birds, studying Sanskrit, writing mystical poetry, and backpacking in national parks. He spent a year of schooling in France and another in the United Kingdom. He has traveled extensively across Europe and parts of Asia. He also raised two now nearly grown children, both of whom attended Trū, and who may be seen about campus occasionally.

I took a month-long pilgrimage to India. I worked on brand strategy for Silicon Valley startup companies during the dot-com boom. I once attended the Parliament of World Religions in Melbourne, Australia.
