Forest School Leader
During her teaching career in the UK Charlotte taught all the elementary ages. She also took a leadership role in the English program across her school, developing its reading and writing curriculum. She trained as a Forest School leader and for 5 years took children to an onsite environmental area to learn outdoor skills and explore the natural environment.
Interests
Charlotte likes baking and then enjoying eating her baked goods along with a cup of tea! She spends time hiking, adventuring to new places, and visiting National Parks. She has traveled to Italy and gone skiing in Canada. She has explored a lot of the British isles and especially loves the Isle of Wight. She loves the opportunity to teach in a different country, having moved here with her boyfriend living in San José.
What I love about working with Trū students
“The children bring their own experiences to the projects we do, and I love seeing both the connections they make and their confidence in taking risks.”
What people might find surprising about me
I am attempting to run 5k per week, and I love crime novels. I can crochet and have made many crochet creatures for my niece in London. I once had a very cute family of hedgehogs living in my garden, including hoglets!
